20210611 Escutcheon
Inside our house the door handles are crap and the escutcheon plates are laughable. The screws on both of them are continuously coming loose and we’re used tot the rattling of loose escutcheon plates. You should never close a door too briskly in our house, or you risk ripping off the door handle and escutcheon plate altogether. I keep a screwdriver within reach on every floor and every month I tighten the screws so that we don’t end up with door handleless doors all the time. I would buy better door handles and escutcheon plates, but the doors themselves are so utterly worthless, that it seems to me it would be like investing in expensive new tyres for a car that’s ready to go tot the junkyard.
